I am currently in California where I just competed in the 9th Annual Guy Takayama Pro Surf Contest and Noseriding at the Oceanside Pier on August 14th-16th. This event is a club coalition contest that donates part of there proceeds to a few charities. The waves were 1-2 feet glassy surf conditions with the top longboarders from all over California and Hawaii. I competed in the Men’s Noseriding where they judges time you on the nose of the longboard and both feet have to be over a line of tape that is 24 inches from the nose. In the Pro Noseriding division, I placed 2nd overall behind an east coast friend of mine that I have not seen in years. Brent Russell from Florida, who is a very talented noserider won the noseriding division. I also competed in the Men’s Pro Open Longboard on Friday and Saturday where I placed 2nd overall in the final. I will be on the Daily Habit show on Fuel TV for the U.S.A Surf Team taking GOLD at the ISA Billabong World Games in Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica.
